I like taking my own grocery bags to the store...I'm finally getting the hang of REMEMBERING them when I go. I haven't, however, grown fond of being anybody's poster child for eco-friendly shopping. I also don't like plain canvas. Therefore, I made myself this. Since I'm new to the sewing world, I think it turned out pretty well! If you'd like to see which pattern I used, here you go.

So, I hear that Twitter is cool. I'm afraid I'm woefully ignorant as to WHY it's so popular. I can log in and let EVERYONE who cares know, and anyone who doesn't, exactly what I am doing every moment of my day. 1. Hacking up some stuff, I just woke up. 2. Making my morning potty stop. 3. Making some tea. 4. Going potty again. etc.
I can also follow people to see exactly when others get up, pee, drink tea/coffee, etc.
Why is this useful? Will someone please enlighten me? I mean, I can TEXT twitter so everyone can know, no matter where I am, just what I'm doing. "I just saw a deer at the park wearing a baseball hat", etc.
I'm lost. That'll be my next update on Twitter.
Carine went to a lovely little girl we know for her 5th birthday. I just LOVE this doll. She's bright, beautiful and she has her own matching doll quilt. My very first quilt! The birthday girl's mom was sweet enough to indulge me and take some GOOD pictures of Carine; thanks so much! Carine carries my prayers and blessings with her to our little friend on her birthday. Forgive the lack of make-up, but this was a great hike we all went on Saturday. It was just beautiful, and not too warm.
Nattie and Annie both LOVE the out doors, but I think Max had the most fun.
On Mother's day, we took the girls up the butte closest to us, but I forgot the camera...we had a great weekend enjoying all the reasons why we live in our lovely part of the world.
So, Emme will be off to a new home. And no, she didn't sell:( But you just can't keep a cute doll down. She'll be off to find some new kiddo to play with pretty soon I'm sure. I'm slightly discouraged that she didn't sell, but I have actually sold 3 to people with specific requests. Designing dolls for specific people is really fun. I know they'll be getting something they like, and I can pray for them while I make the dolls! I've finished Stuart, a Hawaiian boy, A blond girl with a turtle dress, a brunette with pigtails and a bright pink dress, and I'm working on my first doll with dark skin. I'm naming her Carine after the sister of our boy Corney Otis from Burkina Faso. I'll post pics of all of these guys together as soon as I can. And as for Emme? I'm sure the Lord will tell me where her home should be.
