So Nat had her stage make-up on, a new swim suit, and really cute curly blond hair right now. She looked WAY too grown up for me, and I said, "So, like, how old are you?" She flips her wavy blond hair across her shoulder, cocks her head and says, "six". Oh for the days when one more year seems an eternity. Wasn't I just 25?

You are Good
Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. Ps. 63 :8
Find rest my soul in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress; I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust Him at all times, O people; Pour your hearts out to Him, for God is our refuge. Ps. 62:5-8
Because your live is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. Ps.63:3-8
I may have posted this song before, but it's so precious, I had to share again.

Let the tapping begin!
Well, Nat had another practice tonight for her recital this weekend. It was a closed practice, so all of us neurotic doting mothers couldn't even watch. All the tappers are doing songs from Grease, so at least it's been fun to listen too! My goodness, there are some moms with their nighties in a pinch. What about this or that and do they do this or that and what make up do they wear and on and on and on. Seriously. I promise, it'll all be fine. (Hey, Jennifer, Kellie, this does not apply to you if you're reading. You are normal, cool, fun parents:)
The people I felt bad for were the mini sewing circle we have going, all the little sister siblings. There is Lilly, Millie, Annie and Ruby. Doesn't it sound like they should be 80 instead of 1-3 years old? Well, I guess the old saying is true, everything old is new again.
So I'll let you know what I think when I can actually see the hand jive and watch all the dancers. For now, the all week practicing marathon continues!

Enough of the Quizzes, K?
I've been posting all this craziness, "I'm this muppet" or "I'm 0% ghetto" purely as filler, and I'll tell you why. I somehow can't manage to post without a picture, and I left my camera at my parents house a couple weeks ago. They're coming in a week or so for Nattie's dance recital, so I'll have it back then.
Nattie is "tapping" to a song from the Grease soundtrack called "Rock and Roll Party Queen". She has this little poodle skirt that's polka dot and a little scarf she just looks adorable. I'm sure I'll have some photos of that after ALL the grandparents are here at once:)
We're excited for the warm weather we're FINALLY having (come on, global warming???) and we have a full summer of events planned. Nat has swim lessons next month to prepare for our little trip to Idaho in August. Geoff says she sinks like a rock, so it's about time. (Geoff used the simile, "Nat is like a rock" where I use the metaphor "nat IS a rock. Dude, she is.) She will also get to spend some time up at Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch around some fantastic people and amazing horses. How cool!
All that said, I realized, Annie needs something to do too. Hmmm.
We'll be in Portland all in two weeks for the whole week and the girls will get to spend some time with the Reese clan, they can't wait. It's vacation bible school time I hear, so they'll have some VERY enthusiastic participants. We have a couple VBS sessions coming up in July and August too and Nat is old enough now to go even though I'm not volunteering. YIPEE!
Max got a hiking back pack to go with his boots, so he looks like the epitome of an outdoorsy doggy. You can tell he's just so proud of himself. Geoff took him out on a little hike last night and they've both been loving life.
And as for me...I'm selling dolls folks. I was up at 5:00 am this morning, excited to start a new one to deliver to a friend at dance class on Monday.
Well, an actual, honest to goodness update on us. Next time, with photos.

Apparently, I have no accent. I'm a blank slate
| What American accent do you have? Your Result: The West Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta. | |

1 John 2:15-17

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and the pride in possessions-is not from the Father, but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. 1 John 2:15-17

It's almost time again for the hot air baloon festival! This is a photo as they go over downtown. BEAUTIFUL! They take off at 6:30 am from the elementary school just down the road from us so we'll walk there on Saturday. We've gone for the last 3 years and it's been great. The last 2 years, they haven't even gotten off the ground though due to the weather, but when they stay tethered and give rides, the kids are very happy. Nathalie still talks about the balloon ride she took 2 years ago when she'd just turned 3 years old. She has quite the memory.
Oh, I didn't take this photo, sad but true.
