My first whirl at doll making. her dress and shoes are made out of an old dress of Nattie's and her hair is an old dress of Annie's. She's named after of of the actresses on 'Lost' because I was watching old episodes the whole time I put her together. I gave Evangeline or Evie to Nattie for an early birthday present, Annie's is almost done now and we're calling her Lilly. I have to say, it's been a lot of fun, but man I want a sewing machine!!

She's a tapper at heart

Yes, she's ready for tap and she's sporting the side ponytail. And notice, she's old enough to opt for the less-than-authentic half smile. How will the world keep turning without her open mouthed exuberance?

Sock Monkeys and Leg Warmers

I found this handmade doll maker online and I just fell in love with the color and personality of them. I'm going to try my hand at it eventually, once I learn to use a sewing machine.**sigh**. There's just only so much I can do with knitting unless I want to make sock puppets (no,you're right Matt, it's sock MONKEYS) which I'm not too crazy about. I was thinking I could design something that included little knitted leg warmers in various colors. Wouldn't little tiny leg warmers just be crazy cute?

With doll and cuddle blankie, Monkeyshine is on the move! By the way, that's what I call her. She is a prankster at heart:) just like her daddy. She's been wearing her hair in these Minney Mouse ears, and she just is so precious, I had to share.
